The final report has been released for the "Vulnerability of Borderland Water Resources: Developing Indicators for Selected Watersheds on the U.S. Mexico Border - The Paso del Norte Region" (SCERP Project Number: W-03-02). This report discusses the Paso del Norte region at the watershed level and seeks to determine watershed vulnerability within a subbasin framework. A panel of experts was deployed to specifically address the sources of watershed vulnerability and develop a set of criteria for selecting vulnerability indicators. Based on their input, data was collected and analyzed and a series of map products were developed for these key indicators. The major issues encountered were data availability and the need to continue binational collaborative research. The report is available as either a ".pdf" or a ".doc". The associated tables and watershed vulnerability maps are also available to download separately as ".doc" files. |
